Why does Aditya prioritize the role of school principals across India?

India's 700,000 rural public schools are failing—with 110 million children illiterate, high dropout rates, and low levels of motivation among teachers. Aditya founded Kaivalya Education Foundation in 2008 based on the insight that effective principals can lead to better schools.

The organization runs leadership-development programs for principals with the goal of renewing their motivation. Programs consist of coaching, mentoring and helping principals to develop a vision and strategy. The Foundation is the first to formally train and certify principals. By 2014, Natraj aims to demonstrate 1,000 successful schools with newly certified principals.
